How do I add a passage to My Hifz?
Open My Hifz from the Hifz reading view and choose Add what you know. Pick a passage, type or say a reference, or recite to help locate it. Review the first and last ayahs, choose Learning, Memorised or Needs revision, and tap Save. Recognition does not certify memorisation or pronunciation.
What if speech is unavailable on my phone?
You can always type a reference or choose manually. Say a reference uses the phone’s own on-device recogniser and depends on language support. Recite to add has its own optional model download, about 107 MB. The app explains setup before using the microphone; it does not silently switch to online recognition.
Does My Khatm mark reading automatically?
No. Opening a page, scrolling and playing recitation do not complete a portion. The plan follows the reading you explicitly confirm. You can pause or re-pace it.
Does Later lose my Ayah on Unlock progress?
Later keeps the same verse. Tamām advances the sequence. The frequency can be Every unlock, Hourly or Once a day, and the sequence stays independent of your normal reading position.
Can I listen without a connection?
Download the recitation you want while connected, then listen offline. Additional translations and reference content may also need an initial download. The Arabic Quran and included English translation are bundled.

Does Ummahti work offline?
Yes. The complete Arabic Qur’an, bundled translation, search, bookmarks, core navigation and Ummahti Guide are available offline. Streaming recitation and some optional resources need a connection.
Do I need an account?
No. Ummahti has no account or sign-in requirement.
Where is my reading data stored?
Your reading position, bookmarks, settings and personal reading data are stored locally on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I report a problem?
Email support@ummahtiofficial.com. Please include your Android version, Ummahti version and the steps that caused the issue. Do not include private reflections, bookmarks or reading history.
What is Ummahti Guide, and is it an AI?
No, and it is not a fatwa service either. Guide matches what you describe against a catalogue of topics written and reviewed in advance, and answers with the Qur’an and authentic Sunnah passages held against that topic. Every source is named with its exact reference so you can open and read it yourself. The matching runs on your phone, it works with no connection, and nothing you type leaves the device.
What does Guide do if it cannot answer me?
It never dead-ends and it never guesses. A clear match opens the topic. Several plausible matches are offered for you to pick from. A weak match offers related topics and says plainly that they are related rather than exact. A query that matches nothing is answered with the broad subjects instead of an apology.
How many reading themes are there?
Twelve: four core reading themes and eight drawn from a tradition or a place, six light and six dark. Reading Themes and Heritage, in Settings, shows each one with a live preview and a note on where its pattern came from. Nothing is traced or photographed; every motif is geometry drawn in code.
Does changing my theme affect anything else?
No. A theme changes appearance and nothing more. Your reading position, Ayah on Unlock progress, playback, search and settings are untouched, your choice survives a restart and a reboot, and a theme chosen in an older version still resolves to the same theme after updating. Themes work fully offline and download nothing. The home-screen widget follows your choice too.
Which theme is easiest to read?
Classic Ink, if you want maximum legibility or a printed-Mushaf feel. It is black ink on white paper with no colour and no ambient wash. It is also the one theme that does not shift its accent on Fridays or in Ramadan, which is deliberate: a grayscale theme that is grayscale six days a week would not be worth offering.
